Created as a training ground for Billie Jean Osborne's Kentucky Opry, the Junior
Pros are a talented and versatile group of young musicians and singers. These
performers, who range in age from elementary school to college-aged
students, represent the finest young talent in the region. If you want to
discover today the stars of tomorrow, come see Billie Jean Osborne's Kentucky Opry Junior Pros
at the Mountain Arts Center!
Perhaps the most celebrated alumna of Billie Jean Osborne's Kentucky Opry Junior Pros is Arista Nashville recording artist and Salyersville native, Rebecca Lynn Howard. Last year, Rebecca was nominated as the Academy of Country Music's Top New Female Vocalist, and her self-penned hit "Forgive" was up for Song of the Year.
The Kentucky Arts Council, a state agency in the Commerce Cabinet, provides operational support funding for the Mountain Arts Center with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
